Diversity Role Models
We had a visit this week from Diversity Role Models which is a UK Charity that supports schools nationally in understanding diversity, prejudice and stereotyping.
Children learnt about accepting differences as well as understanding important protected characteristics in an age appropriate way, for example race, gender, disability.
This was really important learning for children to help reinforce their PSHE learning.
We were pleased to receive positive feedback from this event. One parent said, " I wanted to take this opportunity to say well done to Offham School for yesterday’s diversity talks and talk on children’s safety.
I’m so pleased that the school are supporting open conversations about identity, communities, choice, acceptance and wellbeing. I’m very pleased that the school has taken such a progressive approach."
